About Me

Roy Martyn                         (fully vaxxed)
Master of Arts (1st Class), Dip Aud Eng, Cert of Production.      

First and foremost I am a teacher – it’s my passion. I have over 25 years teaching experience in recording, production, music, and critical studies, at the Music and Audio Institute of New Zealand, University of Auckland, and the School of Audio Engineering. 
I have worked with such artists as Shayne Carter, Chris Knox, Don McGlashan, Trans Am (USA), Urban Disturbance, Emma Paki, The Tall Dwarfs, Andrèa Lisa, Alec Bathgate, King Kapisi, The Checks, Alan Brown Trio, Grand Central Band, The Royal Jackets, the West African Drumming Group, and many more.  

I also produced the album Stroke, which features artists such as The Mountain Goats, Yo La Tengo, Neil Finn, The Chills, David Kilgore, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, The Bats, Bill Callahan, and Boh Runga (among others).
